On Nov. 10, 1982, the Allerdice family bought what was then The Milliman & Hall Lumber Co.. - a business with a long history in Saratoga Springs, NY. The site began as a saw mill in 1869. In 1875 it was known as the Frank E. Darrow, Company, then to become the E.R. Todd Lumber Co. in 1885. In 1919 it changed hands again changeing to Todd & Milliman. The final change before being purchase by the Allerdice Family was becoming the Milliman & Hall Lumber Co. in 1922

Starting with the 800 square foot lumber store the Allerdice family quickly grew the structures to 12,000 square feet by 1988.

 


Of course with the increase in physical size also came a growth in staff. Starting with 5 employees in 1982 we are now proud to have 45 full & part time employees helping carry on the long time tradition of serving (supplying) the people & businesses of Saratoga Springs & surrounding areas.
